I had originally intended to stay for most of the week, but after one night I left for the far more enjoyable and beautifully appointed Mosaic Hostel, which is also an amazing fully featured hotel.

Smokers everywhere. Average age of guests is in their 50s. wifi only in the lobby. Very loud on a main street with sirens going off every few minutes. No bar or restraurant available in hotel.

breakfast, nice room helpful staff, short distance to metro station, great value for money

weak water flow in a shower (7th floor) thin walls (you could hear your neighbor snoring)

Staff was EXTREMELY nice, great location ( 5 mins walk to the Wenceslas Square ), clean and large room. we overslept our check out time and they didn't charge anything extra and were still very nice to us! recommend this to any group that doesn't need any luxury when it comes to their accommodation. one little flaw: they don t have any private parking spaces, so you have to go to the neighboring hotel which costs 20 € a day.

Just the recepcionist(Anna) was helpfull and nice.

Before we arrived we didn't had the confirmation about the changes we ask to. We had spend all day to contact the hotel without answer from them and the email with the confirmation has ben send hours before we go. The breakfast was realy poor, whitout fruits. But the unacceptable was the room did get clean, the rubish hasn't been change.

Very friendly receptionists (no problem with early check-in, very good restaurant recommendation, no problem with leaving luggage after check- out), free WiFi (in restaurant), very good breakfast (musli, yoghurt, fruits, cake, vegetables, eggs, sausages etc), clean and quiet room (we had a room from the inner courtyard), very good location (10 min by feet to the Wenceslas Square). We had a wonderful stay, thank you very much

Rooms were ok...worthy of a 6-7 rating out of 10. The were clean enough, but just old and was pretty dingy. Stains on the carpeting in the hallway leading to the room was not a good sign, and the wife was immediately not happy with my choice of hotels. Breakfast the next morning was very pleasant, a little better than the average Europe breakfast, so that made up for the less-than-nice room. Location was conveniently located next to the metro stop, but it's on a busy street, and since we were there in August it was hot in the room and had to open the windows, which allowed the loud noise from passing cars into the 5th floor room. Would be ok in cooler temps if you could keep the windows shut. Conveniently located to some nice restaurants only a couple hundred meters up the street.

We originally booked 3 nights here for 5 of us, but upon arrival were told that they couldn't add an extra bed, even though Booking stated it was possible (not sure if that was the hotel or Booking error). So we only spent 1 night here and then then next day moved to the much nicer N hotel right around the corner (which is also where you can park for 20eur a day)...for double the price, but worth it. Staff was understanding, and nice enough to cancel the other 2 nights.

There was a big group of teenagers that would not let us sleep. They were loud all night long. The hotel receptionist tried to help to calm them down but it did not work.

The staff at Hotel Legie were all outstanding. They were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to provide assistance for us. The hotel was well located with an underground train station nearby and a couple of good local restaurants, as well as kfc and McDonalds for those with fussy small people. The breakfast provided included a good range of options.

There was no airconditioning in our room and we ended up being there on the hottest day/night for 2 decades. Opening the windows wasn't a good option for us as the vehicle noise outside was fairly loud. However I expect under normal circumstances this would not be too much of a problem.

tha stuff was nice and helpful, the location is perfect

    wi-fi is caught only downstairs((

The staff were extremely friendly. Any problems were sorted immediately.

Satallite tv and safe deposit boxes have to be paid for - website does not say that. No airconditioning but it was really hot when we were there!

Nothing Cleanliness of the room and public place was very poor Alot of noise during the nigth hours, since Hotel is close to a fire brigade station and on a load with a lot of traffic the value for the money was very low, I think that I had the change to find better Room with 80euro per day unfortunatelly was a quick choise ...

The location is good and the price is correct. Frinedly staff.

    The breakfast wasn't so nice

  • Couple

With the price below average the hotel gave us two all we needed for an excellent rest after one day tour of Prague between a spa stay in Western part of the country and homebound flight to Moscow: very large light room with gigantic double bed with impeccably white sheets (those were not large enough though, so they had to use two of them across the bed :)), a TV that we never needed, so even if it didn't work we wouldn't have noticed :), a bathroom with a bathtub (!) that we gladly used same night. Nothing fancy, just white painted walls, but the ambiance is so fresh, clean and spacious. The lady at the lobby and the young guy in the night shift were both extremely helpful! They don't just smile at you to show friendliness, they simply try so hard to give you every piece of information on the city and help with everything they can. Thank you guys, you made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is pretty basic but is really good quality. The location is just a few minutes walk from the Wenceslas Square and right near a metro station (which didn't work at that day though), two stops away from the Main Railroad Station if you need to get a train or an airport bus.

    1. In-room wi-fi would make the hotel more attractive for a longer or/and busier stay than ours. 2. It would make sense for the management to make an effort to ornate the exterior of the hotel somehow to make it look less gloomy and sinister from outside. Lighter paint or some printed banners would do the job, I guess.

  • Couple
    4.2

The location of the hotel was only a 15 minute walk from downtown.

The room was dirty, with stains all over the floor. The bathroom flooring was peeling and the shower was a garden hose like attachment with a nozzle. It sprayed all over the flood when showering and I had to crouch to wash my hair. Also there is no parking nearby. Also beware the toll streets behind the hotel, my car was parked for a few hour and my indash navigation was stolen.

  • Older travelers
    6.2

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, but ill informed about car parking facilities. The bed linen and towels were very clean and snow white. The location was fine for the town, but too far from the castle.

We were informed by the receptionsist that since it was the weekend we could park for free in a street next door to the hotel. We woke in next morning to find our car gone! We asked the receptionist to phone the police, after several phone calls, we discovered that our car had been towed away and was in the police compound. It took us 2 hours and E80 to get our car back. There is not enough information about free or paid parking. Also next door's tv was right next to the headboard of our bed, so we could hear every word!
